Five times I tried to reach the summit of this beautiful ridge on Scotlands Northwest coast, each time I was beaten back by weather, mist, torrential rain or snow. Conditions weren't ideal for the grand scenic and I had to fight to find a suitable composition. I finally found this soft rounded red foreground rock like molten stone in direct contrast to the grey sharp edged ridge behind. The colours were muted but deeply satisfying
