A very long exposure with 5 stops of ND graduated filter to hold detail in both the sky and the land was necessary to record this gorgeous red sky. The wave effect is not a digital manipulation it has come about from an exposure lasting nearly 2 minutes. The prevailing wind has blown clouds across the setting sun in this period of time.
